We would like  to thank all participants for making ECDL 2010 a real success! It was a pleasure to welcome you here in Glasgow and we are looking forward to meeting you all again at TPDL 2011 in Berlin!

Some presenters/speakers have have already provided us with their slides. You can find them in the programme overview for download – just watch out for the PDF icons there. We are going to add more slides as soon as we get them.

We would like encourage all other presenters/speakers to send their slides to info@ecdl2010.org in order to put them online, too.

The shuttle buses from Wolfson Hall and Hilton City Centre to the University are leaving at 8:30am instead of 8:15am tomorrow, Thursday 9 September. So some extra sleep for everybody!

The 2nd conference day’s finale will be dinner at Òran Mór Auditorium. Enjoy an evening in the singularly stylish surroundings of this converted church. Please find your dinner ticket(s) inside your conference badge holders.

The Òran Mór is in walking distance from the University (ca. 7 mins). Please refer to venue map for exact location.

A real Scottish piper is awaiting you from 7pm at the side entrance on Great Western Road. For a start grab then a glass of bubbly and just relax. Please be at the Òran Mór at 7.25pm latest.

Some participants have been asking for the talks slides to be online for download. All presenters and speakers are therefore invited to email their slides to info@ecdl2010.org so we can put them online. Thank you!

To wrap the first conference day you are all invited to join the welcome reception today at Glasgow City Chambers at 6.30pm. The coaches will leave at the bus stop outside Boyd Orr building on University Avenue at 5.50pm.

As the reception venues is located right in the heart of Glasgow there will be plenty of opportunity to go out for dinner after the reception. Check your conference bag for the eat out guide. To give you an idea where you will be have a look at the map in the guide: City Chambers is located on George Square. You will also find taxis everywhere for the way back to your chosen accommodation. Enjoy the evening!

There have been some changes after the conference brochure went to press:

• Welcome Reception: The coaches to City Chambers will leave at 5.50pm from the bus stop outside Boyd Orr building on University Avenue. For details see the social programme page. Please be there a few minutes earlier.
• Workshop 1 (Making Digital Libraries Interoperable: Challenges and Approaches)  is being held in BO Theatre C on both days
• Workshop 2 (Networked Knowledge Organisation Systems and Services) will be finished by 1.15pm on Friday.

On Monday afternoon you are invited to join the tour to Auchentoshan distillery for a discovery of the famous Scottish Single Malt Whisky. This is something not to be missed! Free tickets will be available on a first-come first-served basis at the conference registration desk in Boyd Orr building on Monday from 8am onwards.

The coach to Auchentoshan departs from Hilton City Centre at 3.30pm and from the University at 3.50pm. If you – due to flight times etc – can’t make it to the registration desk before the coach leaves please drop us an email to info@ecdl2010.org before Sunday evening. We might then be able to allocate some tickets.

For tutorials and doctoral consortium delegates there will be a later departure. Please refer to the social programme page for additional information.

Delegates staying at either Wolfson Hall or Hilton City Centre can use the following complimentary shuttle service to Uni Campus in the mornings:
